+ How much of the race is on trail, road, gravel, etc.?
The race is approximately 65% trail, 20% gravel or dirt road, and 15% paved road.
+ What will the weather be like?
Hot. Humid. Be prepared for heat and humidity at it's best. Or worst depending on how you look at it. Also be prepared for a couple long stretches of exposed terrain in which you will be in direct sunlight. June in Kentucky can also be pretty wet as spring often sees a lot of rain.
+ Will I get wet?
There are a number of creek crossings on the course. Especially in the southern areas later in the race. You will get your feet wet.
+ What if it rains?
The race goes on rain or shine. The race will only be cancelled or postponed for weather in the event of extremely dangerous and hazardous conditions on race day.
+ Is there a shuttle before or after the race?
Yes! The shuttle will depart the finish line at 3am SHARP on race morning. Please see the race web page for more details.
+ Can I leave my car at the start line and pick it up on Sunday?
No. No vehicles may be left at the Gladie Center after the race starts.
+ How many drop bags can I have?
There are 7 drop bag locations including the finsih line. Reference the race page for full details on drop bags..
+ Is there gear check?
No we will not have an official gear check. Since you can park right at the start/finish line you can just leave your gear in your car.
+ Can I get a refund or transfer my entry to someone else?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds. We do, however, allow for runner transfers. There is a $5 administrative fee for all transfers. Please reference our [Refund and Transfer Policy] page for instructions.
+ I registered and now I cannot run. Can I defer my entry to next year or transfer to another race?
We do not technically allow deferments. However, we do allow transfers to Unfortunately refunds, transfers, and deferments are not available for the War Hammer 100.
