RRG Ultra Cancellation Options - Inclement Weather
Hi Runners:
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding with this last minute change of plans for the Red River Gorge Ultra. Our first order of business is that we need everyone to fill out the form below to let us know which option you are going to choose (virtual or transfer). Details are below.
Virtual Option
If you select the Virtual Race option, you can run the RRG Ultra virtually on a course of your choosing. Once you complete your run, you will self report your results via Ultrasignup’s self reporting tool. Runners can access the reporting tool via their Ultrasignup Registration History page.
When submitting your race results, you will provide your finish time and have an opportunity to provide a link to a Strava activity, Garmin data, photo, etc.
Once we receive your Virtual Race results, you will have the option to receive your race shirt (if you ordered one) and your finisher medal. You will have until April 30th to submit your virtual race results.
In person SWAG/Medal pickup
In May, after all virtual results are submitted, we will have three in-person pickup opportunities in Louisville, Lexington, and Northern Kentucky. You can pick up your finisher medal and shirt then. If you do pick up in person, you will also receive a 25% off coupon for entry into the 2026 Big Turtle Trail Races!
Dates and details for in-person pickups will be provided soon.
SWAG/Medal Shipping
If you are not able to pick up your medal and shirt in person, we will ship them to you at no additional cost after the final in person pickup event.
Transfer Option #1 - 2025 Big Turtle races on 4/26
If you select the option to transfer your RRG entry to the 2025 Big Turtle event, we will set up a coupon code for you that is good for free entry into the Big Turtle 50K or 10 Miler.
Once you submit your response to the form (above), we will send your coupon code to you via email within 3 business days.
Transfer Option #2 - 2026 Big Turtle races (date TBD)
If you select the option to transfer your RRG entry to the 2026 Big Turtle event, we will add your name to the waiting list for that race since the exact date is yet to be finalized.
Once we have an approved permit for the 2026 Big Turtle, you will receive an invitation email with a link to sign up. That will occur, likely, later this summer.
